Toastmasters is an international organisation that helps people to develop their communication and leadership skills in a safe and friendly environment.
At Toastmasters you will learn how to:

Description
What?
Our club is a chartered member of Toastmasters International - the world's leading non-profit training and
educational organization devoted to the improvement of individual communication, leadership, training and
management skills and building self-confidence. Toastmasters does this by offering a program based on
learning-by-doing, peer-review and continuous constructive feedback.
Toastmasters is built by local clubs consisting of 20-50 members who meet regularly. During these meetings
members perform different public speaking activities. There are prepared and unprepared speeches and
evaluations of other members’ speeches.
Who?
Toastmasters of The Hague is friendly, fun and learning focused. Our commitment is that all members and
guests experience a welcoming encouragement to participate and learn something EVERY TIME they come
to our meetings.
Our club is proud to be such a diverse club, being made up of a lively mix of men, women, expats and locals
of all different ages and backgrounds. Membership is open to both beginners and advanced speakers and
leaders, with a reasonable command of the English language.
When?
We meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at the AWC (American Women’s Club), Nieuwe Duinweg 25,
Scheveningen (how to get there?). You do not have to be a member of the AWC in
order to join us. Occasionally we have extra meetings, workshops, contests and other special events
(see our agenda).
Time?
7:45pm - 9:45 pm, with time for socializing afterwards.
Visiting our club
Guests are always welcome to experience how fellow Toastmasters learn and improve their skills in a fun
and effective way. We look forward to meeting you! Please send us an email to

if you plan to attend. Please plan to arrive on time so there is time to shake some hands and to find a seat.
After the meeting at 9.45pm you are invited to stay for drinks and social time in the bar.
